Carbohydrates, found in foods such as bread, fruit, and candy, make your blood sugar rise. Your body turns some of your food into a sugar that circulates in your bloodstream. This could make your blood sugar levels climb above the recommended range. Very logical. These healthy carbs should be included in your meal plan.

If you’re watching your carbohydrate intake, you don’t necessarily have to avoid these foods. You could also have a cup of regular Cheerios mixed with cup of plain yogurt and half a cup blueberries or a cup of strawberries for 40 grams of available carbohydrates. It turned into a long evening. As the sugar level rises, the pancreas (say: PAN-kree-us) releases the hormone insulin into the blood. Try to keep your blood sugar levels pretty consistent. It’s the opposite, it’s almost pure carbs. You might be tempted to “cheat” on your meal plan by eating sugary snacks. Your cells may not respond to insulin, so more sugar keeps circulating in the blood.

It’s quite popular. There is no way to know how many people have failed to lose weight because of it, concluding that “low carb does not work”. Real healthy low carb food is meat, fish, vegetables and butter, ideally from your local farmer. Low blood sugar levels can leave you feeling tired, shaky, dizzy, nauseous, confused, and may even cause you to faint. There are a few possible explanations.
