The Kidney Research National Dialogue (KRND) seeks to identify important research questions or objectives, which if answered, would improve our understanding of kidney function, and aid in the prevention, treatment, and even reversal of kidney disease. In this issue of Diabetes Dialogue, the spirit of the season is alive and well in our feature stories, which look at a range of issues that touch the lives of Canadians with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. This means choosing foods that are higher in fibre and other important nutrients, and lower in calories, saturated fat, or sodium. Results 120 patients with T1D participated in at least one DDM: 75% female, mean age 50 years (range 21-76), mean diabetes duration 23 years (range 0-64); 39% of all participants had a baseline PAID score ≥ 33, indicating high levels of distress.
