IndyCar star at Metro East diabetes walk Saturday

The American Diabetes Association is excited to announce our Step Out:Walk to Stop Diabetes will be held on September 17th at Comerica Park this year! The Association funds research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes; delivers services to hundreds of communities; provides objective and credible information; and gives voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes. Approximately 29.1 Americans have diabetes and more than 5 million of them do not even know they have the disease. He will speak to participants and guests at 9:30 a.m. at the Metro East Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes Saturday, Sept. 19, at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The fun starts with registration and check in at 8:30 a.m.; the walk is from 10 a.m. to noon, with a 10 a.m. start.
